Today I had mixed results at MMC meeting.
Although the Secured CSS Recording proposal was saluted by Pioneer engineer as a noticeable achievement from Nero, the second proposal, the standardization and unification of currently vendor specific and unique set book type commands sets is likely to be ruled out for legal reasons. Indeed, DVD specification owners could sue T10, the mother organization of MMC, for standardizing what may be percieved as a method to violate the DVD physical specifications.
At Mt Fuji, the discussion on the Hybrid Disc proposal is still open between the Toshiba-Panasonic proposal and my Nero proposal. However, the Microsoft proposal seems unlikely to pass any vote.
