Sudden attachment to stranger

David Markun visited us this past week-end as he was travelling to Seattle area. A few minutes after he arrived Leila warmed up to him, and a few hours later was requesting hugs and to be carried by him. Then the next day, David went for a sunset run; Leila panicked as David left, and would not calm down until we mounted a ‘rescue’ party with her to go find where David went. Back home later in the evening, Leila would go into the guest room (where David was staying) and close the door behind her. Lucky us, today she seems to have all forgotten about David’s absence, as he left early morning to catch a flight back to Boston.
